The daughter of Princess Anne, Zara Phillips, has chosen couturier Stewart Parvin to design her wedding dress for her July 30 royal wedding to fiance Mike Tindall. Stewart Parvin is a favorite designer of Zara’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who often dons his classically-cut dresses and jackets.
Zara Phillips, the 30-year-old former eventing world champion has enlisted the services of Stewart Parvin for her marriage to rugby star Mike Tindall, 32, at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh on July 30.
Zara doesn’t want a high-fashion dress similar to Kate Middleton’s Sarah Burton design.Zara Phillips’s wedding dress will be slightly more modern, as the accomplished professional equestrian chose a new engagement ring over a family heirloom and is known for her low-maintenance, sporty style. Her fiance Tindall is a professional rugby player and the two met at a pub when Tindall was competing in the 2003 World Cup.
