The BAFTA (The British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Awards of 2011 ceremony took place on 16 March at the London Hilton Park Lane and was hosted by Dara Ó Briain. It was a night of shock, surprise and glam frocks with TV’s elite turning up for the Television BAFTA awards. Many celebrities attended the ceremony. 1. Bonnie Wright 2011 BAFTA Awards red carpet dress
She opted for a printed Clements Ribeiro Spring 2011 dress. Bonnie isn’t much of a gowns kinda girl. We often see her wearing this streamlined silhouette on the red carpet.
2. Tilda Swinton 2011 BAFTA Awards red carpet dress
The British actress wore a Haider Ackermann black suit with cream satin lapels on her waistcoat. Her black suit was is worn with great style and poise.
3. Emma Stone 2011 BAFTA Awards red carpet dress
Had she styled her hair like the runway we would’ve accused her of doing a Blake Lively (ripping the runway) but the look needed something more dramatic and less mumsy. A gold leather Lanvin ‘Ouloulette’ envelope clutch, a Lanvine gold metal frame cuff and nude Lanvin pumps with a wooden platform from the Spring 2011 collection completed her look.
4. Emma Watson 2011 BAFTA Awards red carpet dress
She looked beautiful wearing a Valentino Spring 2011 Couture gown. The first to wear a look from this recently presented collection. Whilst her one shoulder ruffle and pleated floral print gown is stunning, I wish she looked like she was happy to be on the red carpet. Her energy was very low.
5. Amy Adams 2011 BAFTA Awards red carpet dress
This Spring 2011 coral tulle gown is decorated with subtle sequin details and a satin ribbon belt. Her red hair was tousled into loose waves and a gold clutch completed her look.
6. Jennifer Lawrence 2011 BAFTA Awards red carpet dress
The “Winter’s Bone” Oscar nominated actress opted for a British designer by wearing a Stella McCartney gown.
7. Thandie Newton In Monique Lhuillier 2011 BAFTA Awards red carpet dress
Her Monique Lhuillier Spring 2011 gown is breath-taking. As usual Thandie never puts a foot wrong. Even the rain soaked red carpet dosen’t stop her from looking flawless. She kept her hair and make-up simple wearing this exquisite rose print taffeta strapless ball gown which features an exaggerated hand bustled skirt.
