The beautiful WEDDING gown, designed by Normal Hartnell, was made of ivory duchess satin and decorated with around 10,000 white pearls imported from America, silver thread and tulle embroidery.

Her bridal ensemble also included a 15-foot patterned full court train attached at the shoulders, and a silk tulle veil held in place by a tiara lent to the princess by her mother.

On her feet, the Queen wore ivory duchess satin high heels, embellished with silver and pearls.

Another Royal Wedding Coming: Zara Phillips Choosen Designer Stewart Parvin for Her Wedding Dress

The daughter of Princess Anne, Zara Phillips, has chosen couturier Stewart Parvin to design her wedding dress for her July 30 royal wedding to fiance Mike Tindall. Stewart Parvin is a favorite designer of Zara’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who often dons his classically-cut dresses and jackets.

Zara Phillips, the 30-year-old former eventing world champion has enlisted the services of Stewart Parvin for her marriage to rugby star Mike Tindall, 32, at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh on July 30.

Zara doesn’t want a high-fashion dress similar to Kate Middleton’s Sarah Burton design.Zara Phillips’s wedding dress will be slightly more modern, as the accomplished professional equestrian chose a new engagement ring over a family heirloom and is known for her low-maintenance, sporty style. Her fiance Tindall is a professional rugby player and the two met at a pub when Tindall was competing in the 2003 World Cup.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Canada Day

Prince William and his wife Middleton left for Canada and the United States for a 10-day visit on June 30. It’s their first official visit after the royal wedding on April 29.

It’s reported by British media, the plane carrying the royal couple to Macdonald-Cartier International Airport in Ottawa. The Princess Kate wearing French designer navy suit, and the Canadian brand coat, quite symbolic.

The royal couples will visit seven cities in Canada, then to the United States access to 2 days. In Canada, during which they will take part in Canada Day celebrations which mark Canada’s 144th Birthday activities, to the National War Museum of Canada presented a wreath. Canada Governor David Johnston will be to hold a welcoming ceremony.

Canada is a member of the Commonwealth, the Queen of England for its head of state. Prince William’s visit to the couple by the media attention, including 100 reporters, including 1,400 British reporter to interview their first official visit. Tomorrow the royals will participate in Canada Day — and will remember William’s mother, Princess Diana, who would have turned 50.

Royal Wedding of Prince Albert ii of Monaco and Princess Charlene Wittstock

As Charlene Wittstock, former Olmypics backstroke swimmer and champion weds Prince Albert II, Monaco is preparing for the royal wedding festivities this weekend.

The civil ceremony will take place in the Throne Room of the Prince’s palace that has been home to Monaco’s ruling Grimaldi dynasty for centuries, on July 1 followed by a religious ceremony in the main courtyard of the palace on July 2. After she walks down the aisle, Charlene Wittstock will become Princess Charlene of Monaco.

Celebrations will also include concerts and firework displays attended by many global celebrities and heads of state. Billionaires, CEOs, royalty, opera stars and celebrated couturiers, including Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, U.S. soprano Renee Fleming, and the former president of El Salvador are on the guest list the palace released, according to the Washington Post. Tens of thousands of tourists are expected to watch the wedding in Monaco this week, according to the Guardian.

Amid the flurry of excitement, there were rumors that Wittstock had cold feet about her impending marriage and wanted to leave Monaco. The rumors reached such a fevered pitch that the palace denied these reports, according to the BBC, in order to clear the air so that the world can watch the happy ending to Albert and Charlene’s romantic fairy tale.

Wittstock is a champion swimmer who represented South Africa in numerous international competitions. The couple met at a swimming event in Monaco in 2000 and both participated in the in the Sydney Olympics of 2000, Wittstock as a swimmer and Albert as a bobsledder. They made their relationship public by appearing together at the Turin Winter Olympics of 2006. Wittstock ended her swimming career in 2007 and has travelled widely for charity events with her fiance.

The wedding is also expected to restore some glamor to the tiny principality of Monaco that has not seen a royal wedding since Albert’s father, Prince Rainier III married Hollywood actress Grace Kelly in 1956. Princess Grace later died in a car crash in 1982.
