Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge plays a game of table tennis as she visits Bacon’s College on Thursday (July 26) in London, England.
The Duchess of Cambridge, flanked by Prince William and Prince Harry, got into the Olympic spirit in London on Thursday, dropping by a sports center (funded by one of their charity initiatives) and meeting up with the budding athletes.
Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton joined husband Prince Williamand brother-in-law Prince Harry for the launch of Coach Core — a new sports project aimed at impoverished youths — at Bacon’s College in London on Thursday.
Have a look at Kate Middleton’s dress:
“Watching me on the football [soccer] field is never a pretty sight — the expression ‘giraffe on ice’ springs to mind. However it is marginally less embarrassing than seeing my brother cheat his way to becoming the fastest man on the planet,” he joked, referring to Harry’s race against Usain Bolt during his trip to Jamaica in March. “Catherine, on the other hand, with a tennis racquet or a hockey stick is something to behold and be aware of.”
Kate wore a ladylike Hobbs dress for the occasion.
Her 50s-inspired pretty grey and cream fit-and-flare dress was styled with a white woven belt and espadrille wedges.
It is a charming, perfect-for-summer, event-appropriate look, I think.
Kate looked the picture of summer perfect in a patterned white and beige Hobbs summer dress, low beige wedges and with her trademark blowdry.
Kate’s ‘Wessex’ dress cost £35 in the sale from High Street store Hobbs but is sold out.
Later on she changed into more appropriate wear – a white polo shirt and slender blue trousers – to join William and Harry again to welcome the Olympic flame at Buckingham Palace.
