Jennifer Aniston is engaged. She’s going to have another husband who is not Brad Pitt, which means everyone can finally stop making Brangelina jokes at her expense even though they clearly should have stopped doing that six years ago.

“Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage,” his rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Aniston, 43, and Theroux, 41, an actor-screenwriter, have been dating for more than a year. Aniston star accepted the wedding proposal on Theroux’s 41st birthday, the spokesman said.

The couple – who both starred in Wanderlust – were first spotted together in May 2011.

The announcement makes official what reports had hinted at for months: Reports had indicated the couple had scouted potential wedding sites on the island of Crete and in France, and in June the “Friends” beauty was spotted sporting a new diamond ring as the couple returned from an overseas getaway.
