The 39th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, or we can call it 2012 Daytime Emmy Awards for short, were held at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., on June 23.
The awards ceremony was telecast on HLN early Saturday evening, and an encore airing was played from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. local Tucson time.
This year’s awards ceremony saw plenty of gorgeous fashions (and a few that may have missed the mark) as trends like mesh and silk swept through the red carpet.

Next, let’s see the best and worst dresses.
Best Dressed: Bethenny Frankel flaunts her Skinnygirl frame in this gorgeous lace gown.
Bethenny Frankel, who kept it young and fresh in a short, lacy black dress that showed off her slim post-baby figure.
While the turquoise is absolutely stunning on Julie Chen, her boxy dress does nothing to flatter her thin frame.
Rachael Ray may be America’s cooking sweetheart, but this busy, cleavage-baring frock is not so “Yum-o. Ray also donned a seemingly-safe LBD for the event, but the fit that seemed less than flattering.
Lisa Rinna is lovely in lace in this figure-hugging creation
The bright and bold pattern of Jacqueline Macinnes Wood‘s dress draws us to her midriff rather than her gorgeous face.
While many wouldn’t be able to pull off this tribal print, chef Giada De Laurentiis stunned in this floor-length gown.
Though the color and shape of this number simply stunning, the silky sheen on Elizabeth Hendrickson’s gown makes it though she’s sporting a slip to the red carpet instead.
Alicia Minshew‘s figure-hugging gown “blue” critics away.
This busy-looking oatmeal suit doesn’t do Judge Gloria Allred justice.
Sharon Case is red hot in this one-shoulder number.
Deborah Gibson may have an identity crisis. The cutesy frills on the hem does not match with the mirrored beading of the dress.
The mesh, the silk, the polka dots — there’s simply too much going on with Kate Linder‘s brown gown.
The fact is that there was a murder-suicide in the hotel Friday night, just hours before the 2012 Daytime Emmys kicked off. The storied Beverly Hills hotel was the scene of a gruesome crime. Police said two people, a man and a woman, were found dead in a room at the Beverly Hilton on Friday night; authorities have said the case is likely a murder-suicide. At least one of the people found ded was described as “elderly”. So the strars celebrated at low-key ceremony.
